I spend probably far too much time trawling my logs looking for odd behavior. Now I don't get much traffic here, but I'm a Yorkshireman so I'm stingy with my bandwidth, so I'll happily add search engines to my robots.txt or block them at the firewall if they get too greedy and trawl the site too ...

Troubleshooting a network issue with a new Unbuntu install at work, trying to gather as much information about it to clobber the people who say there's nothing wrong. To me it's blatantly a firewall issue, to prove it I'll just fire up traceroute and... traceroute is not installed?? Oh yes I can just apt-get install it ...
